Lead, Learn, Connect… Thrive

Project Blue aspires to create hope and opportunity for kids through after school programming that rebuilds trust between communities and law enforcement by holistically developing kids ages 6-18. Project Blue affiliate programs ruthlessly adhere to the consistent implementation of our five pillars including “Academics, Life Skills, Health & Wellness, Service, and Support & Safety.” while delivering measurable impact. Project Blue reaches multiple audiences and ultimately changes the narrative of law enforcement and resource-challenged kids and communities, and the relationship between them, thereby regenerating the original healthy spirit of the social contract. Come and play with us!

Meet Cordell & Kenny

Cordell and LAPD Lieutenant Ken Busiere met during a community event in Nickerson Gardens, and they became fast friends. “He’s like a mentor, a father, and a friend,” said Cordell of Kenny. The two text each other frequently, and Kenny is known to drop by Cordell’s home to deliver his favorite meal: lemon pepper chicken from Wing Stop.

Kenny Says: He’s a self starter, and he put up with a lot of opposition befriending a police officer but that didn’t dampen his spirit.

Cordell Says: Getting to know him he’s a very very good person and he doesn’t give up on people; I don’t think would ever give up on me.
